Petrified

PETRIFIED - Written by Carroll Bryant

They're sending me postcards from somewhere on the moon
Asking me to visit them real soon
They're a spooky kind of people, but they don't understand
I live my life nothing shy of a simple man

Come take a ride aboard this crazy train
Where you can fly through the skies and fall like the rain
It blows my mind, but it's driving me insane
And it touches my heart

I'm petrified

They're sending me signals from somewhere up in space
Asking me to describe my face
They're a curious kind of people, but they can't comprehend
I live my life alone and I don't want another friend

Come take a ride aboard this crazy train
Where you can hide your feelings and lose what you gain
It's all right, but it's causing me some pain
And it eats at my heart

I'm petrified

And when they dial my number I pretend I'm someone else
I wonder if they'll ever figure it out?

And in my peaceful slumber I hear them talking to themselves
I wonder if they'll ever figure me out?

They're sending me postcards from somewhere on the moon
Asking me to visit them real soon
They're a scary breed of creatures, but they don't understand
I live my life nothing short of green eggs and ham

Come take a ride aboard this crazy train
Where you can fly through the night and fall like the rain
It blows my mind, but nothing will ever change
And it touches my heart

I'm petrified

Come take a ride aboard this crazy train
Where you can hide your feelings time and time again
No need to fight as it is your only shame
And it eats at my heart

I'm petrified

And it's all that I got ..... I'm petrified

Graffiti Hearts

GRAFFITI HEARTS - Written by Carroll Bryant

We keep running this race
Somehow we got it in our heads
We got to finish in first place
With a finger on the trigger
We are prepared to eliminate

The prophets spread the word
Somehow we got too busy in our lives
And I don't think that we heard

How can it be we multiply our pain?
In a world we invented and intended to be sweet
Somehow I tend to start believing that I don't agree
This isn't the way your king intended for it to be

And then at times I get my doubts
Is he even watching us at all?
You have to die in order to get out
Meanwhile, they watch you crawl
I still can't figure out how to solve this crazy case
Have you ever held the hand of god?
Have you ever seen his face?

Sometimes I think that we're all insane
On the verge of breaking down
And the air that we breathe is a game
Where the objective is "Don't you dare make a sound"

In our hand, the book
We keep turning the pages
Reading what we already read
And I think that is a shame
From our very own guidance, we're already dead

Then at times I get so crazy
Does he even really care at all?
And how can I expect to get even
If the writing isn't on the wall
I still can't figure out how to leave without a trace
Have you ever held the hand of god?
Have you ever seen his face?

Are we having too much of a good time?
Such a good time we easily disregard
Can we change what we can't learn?
And can we do it without graffiti hearts?

Are we getting too much of a good thing?
Such a good thing we try too hard
Can we save what we can't earn?
Or are we playing with a stacked deck of cards?
Can we do it without graffiti hearts?

We keep running this race
Somehow we got it in our heads
We got to finish in first place
With a finger on the trigger
We are prepared to eliminate

And then at times I get my doubts
Is he even watching us at all?
You have to die in order to get out
Meanwhile, they watch you crawl
I still can't figure out how to solve this crazy case
Have you ever held the hand of god?
Have you ever seen his face?

Have you ever held the hand of god?
Have you ever really seen his face?

Everybody Knows

EVERYBODY KNOWS - Written by Carroll Bryant

You got the power in the palm of your hand
Is there something to prove to use as a lesson?
What is fair?
What is wrong?
What is in the truth?
Is purgatory invading your somnolence?

What the heart takes, the heart breaks
Everybody knows
When the secret doesn't keep it
Promises show
And it doesn't take a genius to figure it out
To keep it is to believe in it and everybody knows

Your questions need answers for you to understand
Is the seed of love so hard of a problem?
What is there?
What is seen?
What is in the news?
Is happiness causing your disunity?

What the heart takes, the heart breaks
Everybody knows
When the secret doesn't keep it
Promises show
And it doesn't take a genius to figure it out
To keep it is to believe in it and everybody knows

The magic is living on the tip of your tongue
Is there something constructive to do with your mind?
What is where?
What is up?
What is going on?
A rainbow in the heart is your picture of love

What the heart takes, the heart breaks
Everybody knows
When the secret doesn't keep it
Promises show
And it doesn't take a genius to figure it out
To keep it is to believe in it and everybody knows

What the heart takes, the heart breaks
Everybody knows
When the secret doesn't keep it
Promises show
And it doesn't take a genius to figure it out
To keep it is to believe in it and everybody knows

You got the power in the palm of your hand
Is there something to prove to use as a lesson?
