Angel

ANGEL - Written by Carroll Bryant

Here you come again
Angel, I will let you in
I don't know what you want from me
I'm just gonna trust my natural instincts

She forbids me to give my love to a mortal soul
She wants it all for herself and I just can't say no

She makes a different kind of love to me
She speaks to me when I think I'm dreaming

Angel, tell me your name
More of the future
More of the same
Angel, take away this pain
More of the funeral
More of the game
Angel

She can't be with me when my soul is awake
Trapped inside this body is my biggest aggravation
Only when I close my eyes will angel materialize
Bringing me her sweet surrender and physical sensation

And then in front of my witnessing eyes
She spreads her arms and says, "Come to me."

Without remorse I succumb to paradise
I open up my heart and let her plant the soulful seed

Angel, tell me your name
More of the future
More of the same
Angel, take away this pain
More of the funeral
More of the game
Angel

What is it that you want from me?
I'm in my own world, can't you see?
What is it that you think you need?
Am I still asleep?
Is it real or just a fantasy?
Or oh, my fucking god, is it a mother fucking dream?

I don't need a god damn thing

Is it love?
Because that's what we all need
Love is what can set you free
Is it love?
Because love is what can stop the greed
Love is what can set you free again

Is it love?

Angel, tell me your name
More of the future
More of the same
Angel, take away this pain
More of the funeral
More of the game
Angel

Northern Lights

NORTHERN LIGHTS - Written by Carroll Bryant

The wind blows
The chimes sing
The stars shine on everything
The moons light
The earth's glow
The dark plight on white snow

The memories
The fearless pain
Insanity on love's reign

The laughter
The cold chill
Life's blood on a warm kill

The wind blows
The chimes sing
The stars shine on everything
The moons light
The earth's glow
The dark plight on white snow

The heart beat
The lonely friend
Inspiration on the softest skin

The ashes
The dust to dust
Desire burns on a hungry lust

The wind blows
The chimes sing
The stars shine on everything
The moons light
The earth's glow
The dark plight on white snow

The silence speaks
The noise it makes
Nature gives on what it takes

The quick thrill
The long embrace
Prosperity on a faceless face

The wind blows
The chimes sing
The stars shine on everything
The moons light
The earth's glow
The dark plight on white snow

The chimes blow
The wind sings
The dark shines on everything
The earth's light
The moons glow
The stars plight on black snow

Faith appears from lost hope
The dark plight on white snow

Flip The Ashes

FLIP THE ASHES - Written by Carroll Bryant

I wake up from a restless dream in the middle of the night
Look what you've done to me
Another fight and I can't sleep
I light up a cigarette
I try so hard but cannot forget what you mean to me

Look what you've done to me

I sit in my chair
There's memories there
I look around but can't see the pain
I feel it
Take a hit and flip the ashes

This summer heat makes me sweat in the middle of the night
I have regrets, I can't deny
I try to buy the time it takes to mend a broken heart
I try because it's all I got and it's all I can do
It's still tearing me apart

Look what you've done to me

I sit in my chair
There's memories there
I look around but can't see the pain
I feel it
Take a hit and flip the ashes

I scratch my leg and rub my head
I breathe for life but wish I was dead
How did I become this man?
Can't understand
Take a hit and flip the ashes

What did you want from me?
Was it my heart? Well, you got it for free
I paid the price
Yes, I covered the cost
You revel in the victory
I linger in the loss
All I know is that it ended
Take a hit and flip the ashes
I sit in my chair
There's memories there
I look around but can't see the pain
I feel it
Take a hit and flip the ashes

I get to my feet and crush out my smoke
Go back to my bed and I'm walking real slow
It was all a bad joke
How did I become this man?
Can't understand

Look what you've done to me

I feel it
