My Own Wars

MY OWN WARS - Written by Carroll Bryant

I rushed to the door to open it up
And nothing was standing there
I ran outside and into the darkness
Of my own despair
I fell to my knees
My eyes started bleeding
The pain was just too much to bare
Without  a warning the sky started crying
Suddenly an angel appeared

What have I done?
I started my own wars that just can't be won
Where can I run?
Dodging the bullets I fired with my own gun

I swim in the eye of life's hurricane
As I cling to the fears of my past
Dancing with demons inside the fires
Try but I just can not laugh
I talked to my sister, my mother, my friend
And still I can't defuse the bomb
Without a reason my thoughts all exploded
Suddenly the angel was gone

What have I done?
I started my own wars that just can't be won
Where can I run?
Dodging the bullets I fired with my own gun

And the battle goes on and I still can't believe
In the jaws of defeat, I claim victory

And the battle goes on and I still can't believe
To the love of the angel, I just can't concede

What have I done?
I started my own wars that just can't be won
Where can I run?
Dodging the bullets I fired with my own gun

I'm dodging the bullets I fired with own gun

What have I done?
