Your Fire, My Desire

YOUR FIRE, MY DESIRE - Written by Carroll Bryant

Hanging in the back streets
Walking through the alleys
A midnight rendezvous underneath a full moon

Clinging to forever
Thoughts of love too clever
Boy meets girl again to make the perfect sin

Your fire, my desire
Putting the puzzle together somewhere in the dark
It’s always your fire versus my desire
Passion that can never seem to fill two lonely hearts

Talking all the big words
Skipping past what really hurts
Fornicating dreams with the sound of broken screams

Hand to hand our combat
Scratching like two wild cats
Nothing here to feel when everything’s unreal

Your fire, my desire
Putting the puzzle together somewhere in the dark
It’s always your fire versus my desire
Passion that can never seem to fill two lonely hearts

We’ll take it down a notch to catch our breath
Take a break from this train wreck
Eye to eye we still can’t see - what we need
We circumcise our daily life to view the dead
Just outside our window
Going where the wind blows
We don’t care
We don’t know

Not too close to bleed
Our story just continues

Hanging in the back streets
Walking through the alleys
A midnight rendezvous underneath a full moon

Clinging to forever
Thoughts of love too clever
Boy meets girl again to make the perfect sin

Your fire, my desire
Putting the puzzle together somewhere in the dark
It’s always your fire versus my desire
Passion that can never seem to fill two lonely hearts
