Crimes Of The Heart

CRIMES OF THE HEART - Written by Carroll Bryant

The morning comes
After an endless night of pain
Still on the run
Your hurt nearly drove me insane
I guess that's just part of the game

You twisted and turned my mind around
Trampled my heart into the ground
My soul has been lost since and never found
Scratching at my brain
Guess I'm just going crazy

Isn't it a shame
How you tore it all apart?
Call it satisfaction
Call it crimes of the heart
Are we the ones who's lucky?
Now we both can make new starts
Call it inhabition
Call it crimes of the heart

The evening comes
After a lonely day is done
Long over due
It's time I grab a little fun
After all, you were the one

You twisted and turned my mind around
Trampled my heart into the ground
My soul has been lost since and never found
Scratching at my brain
Guess I'm just going crazy

Isn't it a pity
How two people fell apart?
Call it temptation
Call it crimes of the heart
Are we the ones who's lucky?
Now we both can make new starts
Call it superstition
Call it crimes of the heart

See the boy? ... He's a fool
See the girl? ... Watch her drool
Is it fair? ... Or is it cool?
Scratching at my brain
Guess I'm just going crazy

Isn't it a shame
How the whole thing fell apart?
Call it annihilation
Call it crimes of the heart
Isn't it lonely
All alone in the dark?
Call it a fantasy
Call it crimes of the heart

Call it like you see it
Call it crimes of the heart
