COMMON MAN - Written by Carroll Bryant
The meaning of life isn't in the questions
Never in the answers
Only suggestions
The secrets passed down through time
Isn't in the travels
Forwards or backwards
Or living to be hassled
They are in the stars
They are in the hearts of all of them
We may not understand
I know I am a common man
A fleeing asteroid makes us paranoid
The power of love can be the power of calm
We are frightened of them
Because we don't understand
Their presence could mark the end
To the common man
Everything is about the action
The power of love and the power of satisfaction
The grace of god
Oh lord
Isn't in the religion
Isn't living there anymore
I'm just a common man
Heaven or hell
It's a rebellion
Loudly they're yelling for peace
We're just sitting here chilling
On a planet that's spinning
I suppose things could be worse
The meaning of life isn't in the questions
Never in the answers
Only suggestions
The secrets passed down through time
Isn't in the travels
Forwards or backwards
Or living to be hassled
They are in the stars
They are in the hearts of all of them
We may not understand
I know I am a common man
And I've had enough of this
They live in the stars
They have a heart
Too
I am a common man
