Exit Wounds

EXIT WOUNDS - Written by Carroll Bryant

Life is implacable and fatuous, too
Danger has a gun and is pointing it at you
Don't be so diffident when it's your turn to die
There is no time to stop and wonder why

Everything scatters all over the place
Nobody matters when the bullet hits the face
Everything important doesn't matter anymore
Just watching the blood pour
Spilling on the floor

Living in the fastest lane and running to survive
Dodging the darkest shadows in the darkest of nights
Don't be so hesitant when reaching for your gun
The party's only started so I hope you're having fun

Everything scatters all over the place
Nobody matters when the bullet hits the face
Everything important doesn't matter anymore
Just watching the blood pour
Spilling on the floor

This whole thing is making me sick
When you're down, everything spins around
This whole thing has to be a trick
Clearly, I am homeward bound

This city is so dirty

Life is implacable and fatuous, too
Danger has a gun and is pointing it at you
Don't be so diffident when it's your turn to die
There is no time to stop and wonder why

Everything scatters all over the place
Nobody matters when the bullet hits the face
Everything important doesn't matter anymore
Just watching the blood pour
Spilling on the floor

Just watching the blood pour
