THOUGHTS OF JUPITER - Written by Carroll Bryant
I close my eyes and I wonder why
Then I look up to the falling sky
I can't believe the pain of a world that just can't learn
What's so important about my life
That you have to watch me both day and night?
All you want is my money to gain power on a planet called Earth
Rain, rain, on Jupiter rain
Everybody I know they feel the same
And freedom's just a word, but the truth is we are chained
Rain, rain, on Jupiter rain
Everybody I know they feel the pain
And freedom, have you heard, is the truth but yet we're trained
I open my eyes and I start to cry
Then I turn away from the falling sky
I can't believe the ways of a world that just won't learn
What's so valuable about my life
That you have to stab me with your government knife?
All you want is my blood from a war that you know I won't fight
Rain, rain, on Jupiter rain
Everybody I know they feel the same
And freedom's just a word, but the truth is we are chained
Rain, rain, on Jupiter rain
Everybody I know they feel the pain
And freedom, have you heard, is the truth but yet we're trained
I close my eyes and I wonder why
Then I look up at the falling sky
I want to go back home, and I want to go tonight
Say goodbye to the rest of my life
Hug my children and kiss my wife
This planet they call Earth is bound to surely die
Rain, rain, on Jupiter rain
Everybody I know they feel the same
And freedom's just a word, but the truth is we are chained
Rain, rain, on Jupiter rain
Everybody I know they feel the pain
And freedom, have you heard, is the truth but yet we're trained
