Dancer (The Poem)

DANCER (THE POEM) - Written by Carroll Bryant

Dance my primitive dancer
Blow out the flame that flickers within
I have no meaning to give you
So take what others leave behind
Bottle up your emotions
And put them with mine
Inside a transparent heart

Do not fear me and my intentions
For I do mean well
But fear yourself
For you have your own control
And the power to lose it

Dancer, you move swiftly, but have no design
Or plan to follow in order to gain consistency
Follow me and you no longer shall move so swift
And I will become an enemy to your love

I am unconsciously selfish yet, I mean you no harm
Then again, do not we all?
