Superman

SUPERMAN - Written by Carroll Bryant

There's a playground in my mind
I can see it, but I can't play
Put your little hand in mine
Forever to live this way

There's a song inside the wind
And it's telling me goodbye
I watch you slowly fade away
With tear drops in my eyes

I'm just thinking about yesterday
Too young to know and understand
We were living day to day
And I was Superman

I was Superman

We built castles in the sky
Slayed the dragons of the land
We placed our dreams so very high
Played music to which we danced

There's a reason and I will find
A way to leave this history
Pack it up and fall behind
Those days will never leave

I'm still thinking about yesterday
Too young to be making plans
We were living it to our own way
And I was Superman

I'm just thinking about yesterday
Too young to know and understand
We were living day to day
And I was Superman

I was Superman

I just can't throw it all away
These dreams I still hold in the palm of my hands
Forever young I choose to remain
Forever to be your Superman

There's a playground in my mind
I can see it, but I can't play
Put your little hand in mine
Superman all the way
