Wither Away

WITHER AWAY - Written by Carroll Bryant

I may be afraid of this world that I made
But I'll never be afraid of love

You might speculate
And my thoughts may be too late
But you'll never be able to escape my love
(For you)

The path is there for all to take
And in my heart I know it will lead me straight
And if by chance you turn your back on me
Then my knowledge will surely bleed
And I to cry
And I to die
And Spring shall be left to dry up
And wither away

The sun will keep you warm
The climate will bring you close to me
The night will separate the past from the future's history
Then tomorrow becomes cold
And dreams become lonely
The wind will blow away the memories
The snow will cover up the leafs
The rain washes it away
It washes it all away
Making the future ours to play in

And if by chance you turn your back on me
Then my knowledge will surely bleed
And I to cry
And I to die
And Spring shall be left to dry up
And wither away

But if by chance you open up your arms to me
My lost hope shall live forever in secrecy
Until it to be to turn into mold
And wither away

Everything
Eventually
Haphazardly
Fades into nothing
And to wither away
Even dreams
