Decay

DECAY - Written by Carroll Bryant

Sit back and hear a story
About a girl just fifteen years old
Taking off her clothes for the glory
And dancing for some boys who are looking on

Her best friend starts a collection
Of hickeys hiding on her breasts
Is this our teaching of the children?
Are they passing or failing all of the tests?

So, how do you like it so far?
Does it blow your mind away?
Kids being kids but so far
Society rots in its decay

Mary Jane sits on the table
Cocaine and a glass of wine
Another teenage party on a Saturday night
You know that it happens all the time

So, how do you like it so far?
Do you like the way that we play?
Kids being kids but so far
Society rots in its decay

It's the coming of the age
The gutter of our own decay
We're raising them this way
Welcome to the new decay

It's the mess that we made
It's the truth of our own decay
It's the things that we throw away
Turning our heads to the real decay

So, how do you like it so far?
Are you listening to what I say?
Kids being kids but so far
Society rots in its decay

So, how do you like it so far?
Lead by example all the way
Kids being kids but so far
Society rots in its decay
