THE CRAZIES - Written by Carroll Bryant
Something’s pounding in my
brain
I can feel you slipping away
from me
Someone’s knocking at my
heart
I can hear them whispering
just outside the door
I need a girl to save the day
Holding me closer just to
smell her
I wish I could feel the same
As I used to when I was with
her
Everybody tells me I need to
get back
On the horse that threw me,
but it’ll only kill me
Everybody wonders if I will
recover
I’m not worried
I kind of like being crazy
Something’s beating in my
heart
The blood of life is the
poison to a love
Someone’s scratching up my
back
So much pleasure from the
horror of it all
I need a girl to wash away
All the grease left from
dirty hands
I wish I could be swept away
Again and again, over and
over
Everybody tells me I need to
get back
On the horse that threw me,
but it’ll only kill me
Everybody wonders if I will
recover
I’m not worried
I kind of like being crazy
This is my time
It’s all for me and I believe
that
This is my life
It’s up to me to keep it or
throw it all away
Something’s banging in my
skull
It’s just her words from
yesterday
Someone’s looking right at me
I know what she means with a
smile on her face
I need a girl who likes to
party
No more promises that are
left so broken
I wish there was a better way
To read between the lines of
the wicked
Everybody tells me I need to
get back
On the horse that threw me,
but it’ll only kill me
Everybody wonders if I will
recover
I’m not worried
I kind of like being crazy
I’m not worried because girl
you’re just as crazy as me
