SEVEN DAYS WITH GOD - Written by Carroll Bryant
I spent seven days with god
And still it wasn't enough
I'm so loaded with sin that the fun never ends
And now I'm standing here all out of love
After seven days with god
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree
That's what they keep telling me
What's in your heart and not always in the blood
Can be your true family
I tried my best but failed their test
That was the tragedy
Next time I travel back into history
I'll put them in misery
I spent seven days with god
And still it wasn't enough
I'm so loaded with sin that the fun never ends
And now I'm standing here all out of love
After seven days with god
The toughest ones always fall to their knees
Kicking and screaming the loudest to me
But never to be fooled by their tricks
Right before your eyes they disappear
And it makes me absolutely sick
To know that I wasted my time
On them
And quite possibly, my life
I spent seven days with god
And still it wasn't enough
I'm so loaded with sin that the fun never ends
And now I'm standing here all out of love
After seven days with god
I spent seven days with god
And I still couldn't find the love
I'm so frustrated under the skin that I'm raging again
And now I think that I've had enough
After seven days with god
After only seven days with god
