In The Style Of James Dean

IN THE STYLE OF JAMES DEAN - Written by Carroll Bryant

I got my leather jacket on
I got my hair slicked back
I’m the total package now
But with an attitude Jack

I’m not yelling for a reason
I’m just a rebel without a cause
I’m not trying to make a point
Baby, gotta split this joint

And I’m running in the night
Burning down the highway
Trying to make the scene
In the style of James Dean

When you  know I’m so cool
I don’t have time to be a fool
I got a girl who runs the show
Like Marilyn Monroe

She’s not dancing for a reason
She’s just trying to save some grace
When she’s popping her pills, man
Just trying to catch some thrills

And she’s running in the night
Burning down the highway
Trying to make the scene
In the style of James Dean

You better look before you leap, sucker
You better look before you leap

When you  look up at the stars
Can you count your dreams?
Do you see any falling down?
If so, tell me what that means

I don’t need a rhyme or reason
Just a chance to carry on
But I’ll take what I can baby
Just try and understand

That I’m running in the night
Burning down the highway
Trying to make the scene
In the style of James Dean

Burning down the highway, trying to make the scene
In the style of James Dean
