IN THE BEGINNING - Written by Carroll Bryant
I remember on a Sunday afternoon
I woke up with the drunken man blues
The night before was spent with another stranger
I went to a party that day with some friends
That's when I guess it all began
This relationship between you and me girl
I saw you there in that low lit bar
My heart was beating fast and hard
I must admit at first it was just physical
In the beginning
You were just another girl
Now you're a part of my world
And I can't let you go, oh no
In the beginning
You were just a fantasy
Now you're my reality
And I love you so
I eyed you out every night
I had this feeling growing inside
How I wanted to meet the woman that I longed for
We started dancing and feeling our way
At first we didn't have that much to say
But after every dance I wanted you more and more
Days started passing
We were growing into one
You started teaching me how to love and have fun
In the beginning
You were just another girl
Now you're a part of my world
And I can't let you go, oh no
In the beginning
You were just a fantasy
Now you're my reality
And I love you so
Now we're together, and it's going to last
I'm finally beginning to forget my past
I'm looking towards the future
You and me forever
In the beginning
You were just another girl
Now you're a part of my world
And I can't let you go, oh no
In the beginning
You were just a fantasy
Now you're my reality
And I love you so
