People keep on telling me that somehow I've changed

Hey, it's nothing new you see

Life is just that way 

Maybe they don't understand I'm gonna be who I want to be 

Maybe they can't just accept 

That they're looking at a brand new me 

Problems, problems, sure I've got them

Everybody's got a few

I don't let them get to me anymore 

My worrying days are through 

Look real closely in my eyes and tell me what you see

Nine times out of ten you'll say you're looking at a brand new me

A brand new me is what you see

And what you see is a brand new me

I'm just trying to change along with the times 

I just like being free

I'm just trying to be me 

And I'm having one hell of a time 

Every now and then somebody gives it a try

To shake and bake my patience 

To fire up my other side 

Maybe they can't deal so well to everything fully

To the new person I want to become 

To the new guy that is me
