NOTHING EVER TURNS OUT RIGHT - Written by Carroll Bryant
I tried to write a song
It took me all night long
I just couldn't get the words out of my mind
I don't love you anymore
So what was it all for?
All I wanted to do was write down a couple of lines
Baby, we are both too stubborn
Why did we ever try to reunite?
One of these days one of us will have to learn
That nothing ever turns out right
So I dug down deep inside
And yes, I even cried
When I discovered that the feeling was no longer there
All out of love
Now it hurts too much
But just because I'm all out of love doesn't mean that I don't care
Baby, we are both too stubborn
Why did we ever try to reunite?
One of these days one of us will have to learn
That nothing ever turns out right
The things you do and the things you say
Still matter to me
But it appears that we have drifted away
We are many worlds apart
And it's breaking both of our hearts
Now is the time it stops
I want so much to remain your friend
Baby, we are both too stubborn
Why did we ever try to reunite?
One of these days one of us will have to learn
That nothing ever turns out right
Nothing
Absolutely nothing
Nothing ever turns out right
