Don't abuse the music

Listen to it

Dance to it

Enjoy it

Keep on dancing 

And so it was sent

Rules and regulations called commandments 

One to ten for all of men 

The word was passed around

Make them last forever

There should have been one more

One to be used out on the dance floor

Don't abuse the music 

Is that too much to ask for?

Write it from the soul

Sing it from the heart

Dance to it with emotion 

Don't ever stop once you start 

And so they were to obey

Live them the best you can every day

The commandments 

One to ten for all of men

Make them last forever 

We got to have one more

One you ought not to ignore

Don't abuse the music

Is that too much to ask for?

It controls you

It rules your very soul

It seizes your senses

Its power is proven 

Its purpose demanding

Obey the 11th commandment

I command you!
