Forget About It

FORGET ABOUT IT - Written by Carroll Bryant

I can’t forget I met you
I keep forgetting to forget all about you
No matter how hard that I try
You’re something I let get the better of me
And yet I know that I regret it too

Even though I die inside
At least I know that I really won’t die

Don’t forget about me
I’m standing here in clear plain view
Don’t forget about me
I’m standing here and waiting for you
There’s a heart that’s buried deep
With a treasure so true
Don’t forget about me
Until I forget about you

I’m standing on the beach
I see a ship carrying all my dreams
It’s so far out of my reach
I’m so discontent and you resent me
And yet I know that ship is sinking

Even though I cry inside
At least I know that I will someday survive

Don’t forget about me
I’m standing here in clear plain view
Don’t forget about me
I’m standing here and waiting for you
There’s a heart that’s buried deep
With a treasure so true
Don’t forget about me
Until I forget about you

I’m gonna let the world fall down
And crash around
Scatter itself all about my feet

I’m gonna let the waves crash down
And splash around
Until I can make you believe

Believe in me

I can’t forget I met you
I keep forgetting to forget all about you

Even though I die inside
At least I know that I really won’t die

Don’t forget about me
I’m standing here in clear plain view
Don’t forget about me
I’m standing here and waiting for you
There’s a heart that’s buried deep
With a treasure so true
Don’t forget about me
Until I forget about you
Forget about you
Until I forget about you

Forget about it!
