In Deep

IN DEEP - Written by Carroll Bryant

Can’t unlock the door without a key
Can’t swim to shore from in the middle of the sea
Can’t find the heart without a soul filled with love

Can’t walk a mile with another one to go
Can’t paint a smile without the colors to do so
Can’t kill the monster if you are the beast

You got the power
You got the tool
You got it all if you want it
Don’t be your own fool

Another story line goes on without an end
I’m in deep, so deep
And so I toe the line on the verge of a new friend
I’m in deep, so deep

Can’t pay the price without the cost
Can’t play it right when you know that you’ve lost
Can’t gain the pleasure for due to the pain

Can’t stand to choose without selection
Can’t sit down to a standing ovation
Can’t remain numb to all that you feel

You got the reason
You got it made
You got whatever you wanted
Don’t swim in your own shame

Another story line goes on without an end
I’m in deep, so deep
And so I toe the line on the verge of a new friend
I’m in deep, so deep

Can’t measure up to the smallest of size
Can’t have broken wings and expect to fly
Can’t figure out all the when, where’s and why’s

The only thing left to do
Is lay here and think about you

Another story line goes on without an end
I’m in deep, so deep
And so I toe the line on the verge of a new friend
I’m in deep, so deep
