Love In The Night

LOVE IN THE NIGHT - Written by Carroll Bryant

It never seems to wanna end
These city streets go on forever
Dying just to meet a friend
Trying not to be too clever

The midnight cries out like a cat on it's ninth life
Hiding in the alleys and putting up a dog fight
You struggle for a breath of air
Knowing that nobody cares
Then somehow you find it

Love in the night
(It gets to be so lonely)
Love in the night
(You're cold and you're scared)
Living alone
A heart without a home
Until suddenly you find it

Love in the night

The morning comes too slow to mention
The fog and mist evaporates
Your heartbeat finds no new redemption
Everything keeps running late

The sunlight burns out like a nuclear fire
Exploding in rhythm to a dead mans desire
You reach for it but it's not there
Knowing that it hides somewhere
And you may not find it

Love in the night
(It gets to be so lonely)
Love in the night
(You're cold and you're scared)
Living alone
A heart without a home
Until suddenly you find it

Love in the night

You keep searching for the war
Trying to find the warmth
The blades of love keep slicing you up
You can't quit to die
Trying hard to catch an eye

It never seems to wanna end
These city streets go on forever
Dying just to meet a friend
Trying not to be too clever

Then somehow you find it

Love in the night
(It gets to be so lonely)
Love in the night
(You're cold and you're scared)
Living alone
A heart without a home
Until suddenly you find it

Love in the night
(It gets to be so lonely)
Love in the night
(You're cold and you're scared)
Living alone
A heart without a home
Until suddenly you find it

Love in the night
