This Is The World

THIS IS THE WORLD - Written by Carroll Bryant

I see a ghost flying over me
Some kind of spirit, will it let me be?
Or will it conquer my mind, body and soul?
Will it answer questions that I need answered so?

Millions of people live their daily lives
They have adapted to their daily routine
They are only visions of what time has made of them
They are the people who share this planet with me

This is the world that I live in
(You and me)
This is the moment that I only care about
This is the ruin of my destiny
This is the world that I would choose to live without

I hear a voice that is calling out my name
Sounds as if it comes from somewhere down below
But I raise my hands to the clouds and the man
Who is to answer the questions I need answered so

What is the meaning of this life that we lead?
Is it a duty that is handed down to you and me?
Over and over I think all of the time
Life is but a journey and you'll leave something behind

This is the world that I live in
(You and me)
This is the moment that I only care about
This is the ruin of my destiny
This is the world that I would choose to live without

I see a ghost flying over me
Some kind of spirit, will it let me be?
Or will it conquer my mind, body and soul?
Will it answer questions that I need answered so?

This is the world that I live in
(You and me)
This is the moment that I only care about
This is the ruin of my destiny
This is the world that I would choose to live without
