Looking back through the years

At all we have been through as a family

I recall uncounted tears

Then I realize it's true

We are family

The joy I can't forget

The pain I don't regret

It's all the part that we play

We need each other in that way

We still do

And sometimes, words are not enough

To show how much we care

To let each other know

Just how much love we have

Inside our hearts

We live our little lives

With thoughts of our loved ones deep inside

Looking back through the years

At all the ups and downs as a family

I recall lucid fears

Of growing up and moving out

We are family

The rain is always wet

The sun will dry it yet

The climb was hard but here we stay

We love each other in that way

Yes we do

And sometimes, words are not enough

To show how much we care

To let each other know

Just how much love we have

Inside our hearts

We live our busy lives

With thoughts of our loved ones deep inside

And in those times when we know that trouble comes about

We seem to work things out

We never overlook what is important

The happiness we bring that comes from deep inside of us
