EVERYDAY LIFE - Written by Carroll Bryant
The old man sneaks a drink from his paper bag
Telling stories to himself about a life that he once had
The working girl wants to dance far into a dream
But instead she sells herself to all in dying need
And the money changes from hand to hand
And the money ends up in the hands of a big business man
That's everyday life
Some will laugh and some will cry
Some will live and some will die
That's everyday life
The young man tries to sell but the company just won't buy
So ashamed within himself, commits a suicide
Everybody tried to say that it was a shame
All he wanted was a chance but now there is no pain
And the Christians still claim that god is on our side
And the politicians still give us all a ride
That's everyday life
Some will laugh and some will cry
Some will live and some will die
That's everyday life
And the married couple divorces the next day
And the junkies are fixing to do it their own way
And Hillary just might have something to say on graduation day
If you can cough up the pay
That's everyday life
In everyday life
Some will smile and some will cry
In everyday life
Some will live and some will die
That's everyday life
