MY CAR WON'T START - Written by Carroll Bryant
My car won't start and I'm stranded in the middle of nowhere
With no one
It breaks my heart because I really don't care who lost
Who won
She left a message on my machine
Say come see me
I left there at a quarter to three
Now she hates me
Was it too much beer?
Too much wine?
Was I just having too good of a time?
Maybe my words were way out of line
But I can't change the past
What was the reason that she had to ask me to leave?
My car won't start and I'm stranded in the middle of nowhere
With no one
It breaks my heart because I really don't care who lost
Who won
She left a message on my machine
Say come see me
I left there at a quarter to three
Now she hates me
Was it too much love?
Too much fear?
Maybe my words were never quite clear
Maybe I whispered too soft in her ear
Maybe I whispered too soft in her ear
But I can't change the pain
Why did I have to yell out somebody elses name?
"What are you thinking? Who do you think I am? I'm never perfect. I ain't got a perfect plan. What are you dreaming? Why are you asleep? I'm never perfect. Is this the company that you keep?"
My car won't start and I'm stranded in the middle of nowhere
With no one
It breaks my heart because I really don't care who lost
Who won
I could never love that way again
Who lost? Who won?
Write it down that I committed the ultimate sin
Nowhere with no one
I know I can't change the hands of time
And maybe my words were way out of line
And maybe I was too drunk out of my mind
Was it too much beer? Was it too much wine?
My car won't start and I'm stranded in the middle of nowhere
With no one
It breaks my heart because I really don't care who lost
Who won
Who lost? Who won?
I really don't care because my car won't start
