THE EVIL THAT WOMEN DO - Written by Carroll Bryant
She looked me eye to eye
Stood me toe to toe
She laughed right in my face
She said, "You're an average Joe"
She accused my conscience to be nothing more than a lie
And when she turned away she was turning to say goodbye
It's the evil that women do
A warm heart that can't be true
It's the evil that women do
They only want to break you
And they do
She proclaimed her innocence
She spoke it loud and clear
Played a song to which we danced
Then I grew a new kind of fear
I revealed my intentions to be nothing more than love
She revealed her ambition and she revealed more than enough
It's the evil that women do
A warm heart that can't be true
It's the evil that women do
They only want to break you
And they do
I was swayed by her persuasion
To that I thought we would fall in love
Only to discover
Her heart was on the run
Her love was no kind of fun
Her love and I was done
I believed the stories that were handed down through time
Only to be blinded by the harsh look coming from her eyes
My God, there were so many other guys!
It's the evil that women do
A warm heart that can't be true
It's the evil that women do
They only want to break you
And they do
It's the evil that women do
A warm heart that can't be true
It's the evil that women do
They only want to break you
And they do
They break you to the point of fool
The evil that women do
