The passing of time slips through our hands

We pay it no mind until we near the end

Looking back in fear at all of our days

Being judged by who we are and every thought we did not cage

And when the mind is shaking

The body is breaking

Nothing much remains

And the breath we’re taking

Hesitates

Until we fall down to our knees and pray

What would Jesus say?

If in the guilty grip you hold the gun

Would he walk away?

If in your eyes you lost the love

For someone

There never seems to be a reason  for emergency

When everything’s okay

But when you break a heart and walk away

What would Jesus say?

Liquidated hate runs through our blood

We take for granted things to the point we’ve had enough

Looking far ahead at the life I cannot see

Be aware of what I take when giving back is what we need

And when the mind is shaking

The body is breaking

Nothing much remains

And the breath we’re taking

What would Jesus say?

I’m not talking about the side of Christianity

I’m just speaking man to man

On a face to face reality

Looking eye to eye with the Divine entity

I’m just thinking maybe, maybe

He would have something to say to you and me

What flows through your veins?

Carry what you have inside your heart

Because in the end you judge yourself

And the wars you won, you lost, you fought

Becomes your fate
