Devils Lettuce

DEVILS LETTUCE - Written by Carroll Bryant

We can’t think straight
Our heads are like a lava lamp
We’re tongue tied
Stuck between the jaws of a clamp

We’re going to start laughing if it let’s us
Something smells weird like devils lettuce

Now you can call it a party
Now you can say we’re having a real good time
Finally it started
For a moment I thought I was going to lose my mind

We got the munchies
I think you know what I mean
We’re feeling crazy
Like floating inside of a dream

It’s not normal
For us to be acting this way
A bit too formal
But really, who am I to say?

We’re going to need an oxygen apparatus
From dancing in the fog of the devils lettuce

Now you can call it a party
Now you can say we’re having a real good time
Finally it started
For a moment I thought I was going to lose my mind

Now it’s a party
Now we’re having a real good time
So glad it started
For a moment I was caught in another part of my mind

We can’t think straight
Our heads are like a lava lamp
We’re tongue tied
Stuck between the jaws of a clamp

We’re going to start laughing if it let’s us
Something smells weird like devils lettuce

Now you can call it a party
Now you can say we’re having a real good time
Finally it started
For a moment I thought I was going to lose my mind

Now it’s a party
Now we’re having a real good time
So glad it started
For a moment I was caught in another state of mind

Driving down the boulevard
Her hands resting on my lap
Everything is getting hard
Someone tell me where the hell we’re at

Someone tell me how to get back

Now it’s a party!
