I was walking the river bank

Watching the water flow

Reflecting to a love so true

With a woman that I loved so

Holding her hand in the midst of reality

I’m just trying to understand what she has given me

Now I can see

The ultimate high was given for free

The ultimate high was when you made love to me

I was touching the sky; it was as easy as could be

The ultimate high came when you gave your love to me

And I believed

I was walking the city streets

Tracing the steps where we did go

And everything I see reminds me 

Of a love I came to know

Looking at these strangers, more so than ever, I believe

But will you ever understand what you have given me?
