DARK THOUGHT - Written by Carroll Bryant
Satan lives in the other side of me
Satan's lungs breathes in my air
Where I thought the door was closed
And assumed the room to be empty
Satan lives in the other side
What I thought was light became a shadow
When I felt it full it was but hollow
Where I thought the door was closed
And assumed the room to be empty
Satan lives in the other side
I can feel his presence
He's watching, and waiting
He knows that the God above loves suffering
And pain
I used to pray for the door to be closed
And assumed the room was empty
But Satan lives in the other side
Am I gonna burn?
Am I ever gonna learn?
To be consumed by the fires of hate
Go through the ordeal of love
To acquire the patience and wait
I stand through the trial alone
Is the question not the answer?
Is the question simply the answer?
Satan lives in the other side of me
Satan's lungs breathes in my air
Where I thought the door was closed
And assumed the room to be empty
Satan lives in the other side
Satan lives in the other side
