All the world was getting ready

To play the final party

To celebrate the coming

Of the end of another summer

At bat but not a chance

As the ground started its shaking

Mother Nature did her dance

Hearts, souls, and buildings breaking

It only goes on to prove

Everything we got we stand to lose

Slam jam with tearful eyes

As San Francisco dies

Slam jam - Out goes the lights

Slam jam - The longest night

Slam jam for all who cried

On the night San Francisco died

All of society must battle with their dreams 

As Mother Nature screams, "Don't you dare tread on me!"

What takes so long to build

Tragedy in one day kills

So do with it just what you will

Mankind must always rebuild

It only goes to show

What we think we just don't know
