SWEAT, BLOOD, AND TEARS - Written by Carroll Bryant
To know it's tough is not enough
So hard to say
A bit of this is a bit too much
Day after day
You pour it on and you pour it out
You still find a way
Showcase a love that is deep in doubt
An empty display
To sit and wonder
Wonder how we went under
Is no consolation to how I feel
I cried sweat, blood, and tears
I should have known it would be in vain
I cried sweat, blood, and tears
Such a pitiful shame
I tried to run into the sun
Eyes are so blind
I didn't know that you were the one
Who would mess with my mind
You gave it one and you gave it all
Time is but time
You had your fun and you took the fall
What do you design?
To have to worry
Worry about the hurry
Is no satisfaction to the unknown
I cried sweat, blood, and tears
I should have known it would be in vain
I cried sweat, blood, and tears
Such a pitiful shame
What was to be is so hard to see
Or so they say that they know
From coast to coast and sea to sea
On your tippy of toes
Hanging up and or hanging in
It's in the ozone
Fool to lose and a fool to win
Another fool all alone
To sit and wonder
Wonder how we went under
Is no consolation to how I feel
I cried sweat, blood, and tears
I should have known it would be in vain
I cried sweat, blood, and tears
Such a pitiful shame
