A FOOL I'LL ALWAYS BE - Written by Carroll Bryant
Another senseless night
I reach to turn out the light
The wind blows hard outside
As your memory fills my mind
I try but, can't see your face
Just a shadow dead into space
This is such a dreadful place
When I think about all the mistakes
Could there be a morning star waiting to shine on me?
Could it be I've gone too far to try and make myself believe
That you and I were made to spend eternity
A dream, I guess it's true, I say
A fool I'll always be
So take me where the pain don't go
I'm a man who has no name
Will you take me off this Broadway show
Before I go insane
The sky was made for wonder and you were made for me
A dream, I guess it's true, I say
A fool I'll always be
Another senseless night
I reach to turn out the light
The wind blows hard outside
As your memory fills my mind
I try but, can't see your face
Just a shadow dead into space
This is such a dreadful place
When I think about all the mistakes
Could there be a morning star waiting to shine on me?
Could it be I've gone too far to try and make myself believe
That you and I were made to spend eternity
A dream, I guess it's true, I say
A fool I'll always be
A dream without an end, I say
A fool I'll always be
