Dark Silence

DARK SILENCE - Written by Carroll Bryant

The pain was still there * Blood spilled from the pores of my soul * My mothers voice echoed through the cold wind * But it was summer * I searched for meaning * Standing in a puddle of confusion * My feet wet from my hearts tears * Death was my shadow by the pale moon light * The stars were falling * There were no proud or profound words * Only the silence of darkness * My skin felt like stone when I touched my face * Thoughts burned my head * I closed my eyes to sleep for the rest of my life * I coward to my fear * My fear wasn't death * I ran towards the silence of the darkness * My fear was life * And so was my pain *
