FALLING (THOUGHTS IN THE BRAIN) - Written by Carroll Bryant
Words from the tongue
Legs on the run
Arms that are forever
reaching out
Eyes that can’t see
What you did to me
What is that all about?
A mind can get lost
Inside of the breath of your
mouth
Are you haunting me or am I
Just haunting myself?
Poems that I write
Songs that I sing
Doesn’t make it right
Doesn’t do anything
I keep falling to my ground
I’m still falling
But am I falling in … or
falling out?
Thoughts in the brain
Tears like the rain
Blood spills from the scrape
Ears that can’t hear
The sound of a heart
When it decides to break
A hope can get caught
Inside of a rainbow of lies
Are you chasing me or am I
Just chasing my time?
Poems that I write
Songs that I sing
Doesn’t make it right
Doesn’t do anything
I keep falling to my ground
I’m still falling
But am I falling in … or
falling out?
Why is the ocean blue?
Why is the grass so green?
Why can’t the dark see the
light?
Why do you have to be so
mean?
Why can’t the wind just take
a break?
What is that all about?
Why can’t up ever go back down?
Why can’t left just take a
right?
Why can’t the colors find
their grey?
Why can’t peace ever win the
fight?
Why can’t a thief leave what
he takes?
What is that all about?
Poems that I write
Songs that I sing
Doesn’t make it right
Doesn’t do anything
I keep falling to my ground
I’m still falling
But am I falling in … or
falling out?
Poems that I sing
Songs that I write
Doesn’t do anything
Doesn’t make it right
I keep falling to my ground
I’m still falling
I’m still falling
Poems that I write
Songs that I sing
Doesn’t make it right
Doesn’t do anything
I keep falling to my ground
I’m still falling
But am I falling in … or
falling out?
I’m still falling
I’m still falling
What is that all about?
