American Fool

AMERICAN FOOL - Written by Carroll Bryant

Look at you American fool
Selling your merchandise to you know who
This kind of life just isn't cool
Wanna be a big shot, but an American fool

You may murder away the brains of tomorrow
But you only have yourself to blame for everything that brings you sorrow

People will live their life as according to what they borrow
But you only have yourself to blame for everything that you made hollow

You're so shallow
Because
Look at what they do
They're buying their merchandise from an American fool
That kind of life just isn't cool
It's just not American
American fool

You may think and believe stupid things
But you only have yourself to blame for whatever it brings

People will live their life as according to different things
But you only have yourself to blame for whatever it brings

And now I'm gonna bust my rhyme

Putting on a needle like a record hi-fi
Doing what it takes to gain a natural high
Scamming for the Grants to make a big $$$ buy
When they ask for answers and you don't know why
Addicted - That what it be
A false paradise for society
You know it's illegal but here's the regal deal
You get a big kick from it and then life gets too real
Addicted - Nothing is free
False paradise for society
Because
You kill your brain away
You live your life for the moment of the day
Party, party, play

Now look at you, American fool
Selling your ass to you know who
This kind of life just isn't cool
It's just not that American you American fool
Because
You only have yourself to blame for everything this kind of life brings
You can't put your life on pause
You could be a lost cause and that isn't cool
You American fool
