Horizon

HORIZON - Written by Carroll Bryant

The sunlight's busting through the window
Tired eyes awake
And in the middle of a heartbeat
Lives a burning ache

You got to get it going
When dreams just live in dreams
It's hard to know the answer
Or even what you're doing

You want to live your life, but it's just hanging on the edge
Nothing that matters is too surprising
Every time the sun comes up you wait for it to set
Just once you would like to see it rising
On the horizon

Pretty girls are sensual
They touch you where you need it
Just once to fall in love is what you really want

Last year of school is so uncool
When you don't know where you're heading
Big bucks and luxury is weighing on your mind

Sometimes it gets so bad you can't take it anymore
Roll the dice for paradise
Then try and lock the door

All you want is more

You want to live your life, but it's just hanging on the edge
Nothing that matters is too surprising
Every time the sun comes up you wait for it to set
Just once you would like to see it rising
On the horizon

Johnny come lately
Sally wants to love
Every day in and every day rut
Johnny wants to bake his head
Sally wants to come
Every day out and every day you run
You just want to run - away
You just want to run

Can't keep living this way

You want to live your life, but it's just hanging on the edge
Nothing that matters is too surprising
Every time the sun comes up you wait for it to set
Just once you would like to see it rising
On the horizon

You just want to see a future in your sights
On the horizon
