On My Way Down

ON MY WAY DOWN - Written by Carroll Bryant

Have you been forgotten?
Do you even care at all?
The taste of love so rotten
Broken in pieces from the fall

What is all of this screaming?
Can't anybody hear?
Won't no one come to your rescue?
All of your people disappear

What can take forever may never come around
What can make the moment may never make a sound
You go to sleep too easy But I can't sleep right now
On my way down
I'm giving up on love
On my way down
I'm getting used to looking up
I'm the worlds biggest clown
You should know all of this by now
I hope you come around
But for now
I'm on my way down

You won't try again because you are discouraged?
Sometimes that's how it goes
You can never win without your courage
This you already know

What is all of this bleeding?
Can't anyone stop the pain?
Broken hearts are hard to healing
Very few ever remain

What can take forever may never come around
What can make the moment may never make a sound
You go to sleep too easy But I can't sleep right now
On my way down
I'm giving up on love
On my way down
I'm getting used to looking up
I'm the worlds biggest clown
You should know all of this by now
I hope you come around
But for now
I'm on my way down

You think that you're the only one left without a touch
There must be another one who is thinking way too much
You believe you're the only one who is lost without a trace
There might be another one in the crowd with a lonelier face

What can take forever may never come around
What can make the moment may never make a sound
You go to sleep too easy But I can't sleep right now
On my way down
I'm giving up on love
On my way down
I'm getting used to looking up
I'm the worlds biggest clown
You should know all of this by now
I hope you come around
But for now
I'm on my way down

I love how love may sound
But I can't think right now
I'm on my way down
