Two Lonely People

TWO LONELY PEOPLE - Written by Carroll Bryant

Good looking man
Good looking lady
Different directions as they walk down the street

They say hi as they walk on by
When deep inside they would really like to meet

They get home from their two little jobs
Feed the pets and turn on the T.V. screen

Lost in thought as they gaze out of their windows
Innocently they both begin to dream

Two lonely people too lonely to discover
Two lonely people who don't have a lover
Two lonely people wishing for another
Two lonely people who don't have a lover
Life can be so cruel and we all know this is true
But it's worse when those two lonely people are me and you

They go to their kitchens and they fix a bite to eat
Take a lonely shower before trying to sleep

They toss and turn as their passion yearns
Close their eyes and get caught up in their fantasies

Two lonely people too lonely to discover
Two lonely people who don't have a lover
Two lonely people wishing for another
Two lonely people who don't have a lover
Life can be so cruel and we all know this is true
But it's worse when those two lonely people are me and you

They're on the brink as they think about the life they live
He thinks about her
She thinks about him
There's so much that they could give
To each other
But they're gone, gone, gone
And they're not coming back
And they're gone, gone, gone
On the edge of their climax
And this is where it ends
For everyone of them
Because you know it that they are not the only ones alone

Two lonely people too lonely to discover
Two lonely people who don't have a lover
Two lonely people wishing for another
Two lonely people who don't have a lover

Two lonely people too lonely to discover
Two lonely people who don't have a lover
Two lonely people wishing for another
Two lonely people who don't have a lover

Life can be so cruel and we all know this is true
But it's worse when those two lonely people are me and you
