San Diego

SAN DIEGO - Written by Carroll Bryant

I can’t sleep
Knowing that you’re on my mind
I can’t eat
Never seem to find the time

When all I ever wanted was a dream come true
I had to go and bump into you

And now I’m living a lie
Telling myself that I just can’t survive
Always trying to hide the map of my life
That’s showing me where I should go
Knowing what I’ve should have always known
I need to be with you tonight somewhere in San Diego

I can’t think
There’s nothing else left inside
I just drink
Watching as it all goes by

When all I needed was a golden rule
You had to go and make me a fool

And now I have to realize
Telling myself that I just can’t surmise
Always trying to hide the make of my ride
That’s showing me where I should go
Knowing what I’ve should have always known
I want to be with you tonight somewhere in San Diego

Phone calls and letters are so nice
But they don’t make me feel better
And with my love on the line
I jump into that car of mine tonight

When all I ever wanted was a dream come true
I had to go and bump into you

You know what I say is true

And now I’m living a lie
Telling myself that I just can’t survive
Always trying to hide the map of my life
That’s showing me where I should go
Knowing what I’ve should have always known
I need to be with you tonight somewhere in San Diego

I driving down the map of my life
On a road to San Diego

I’m heading to San Diego

Tonight!
