Toxic Love

TOXIC LOVE - Written by Carroll Bryant

I can feel the fire getting hot
Burning through my skin
These emotions that are wearing thin
If you had a heart, you wouldn’t stop

I can tell there’s magic in your eyes
One touch of your hand
And it’s clear that I’m a ravished man
How long for us to reach the finish line?

It’s so pure
You’re so sure
Innocent persuasions locked away in isolation

It’s so fine
Like cherry wine
Guilty are the pleasures of our lonely sweet endeavors

I can feel you breathe inside my lungs
Addicting me completely
With your illogic toxic sweetness
Stealing all of my oxygen

I can see beyond your simple kiss
You force me to uncover
My desire to be your lover
A rumor that you know I can’t resist

It’s so real
What we feel
Acknowledging with accolades, what we put on display

It’s so plain
Like acid rain
Microscopic particles posing as our obstacles

Our love is just a toxic chemical

It’s so-so
What we know
Thinner than spaghetti, and we think that we are ready

It’s so clear
Like we fear
Falling on a hand grenade for you my love, I aim to save

I can feel the fire getting hot
Burning through my skin
These emotions that are wearing thin
If you had a heart, you wouldn’t stop

Take from me, anything you want
Take from me, everything I got

It’s so pure
You’re so sure
Innocent persuasions locked away in isolation

It’s so fine
Like cherry wine
Guilty are the pleasures of our lonely sweet endeavors

It’s so real
What we feel
Acknowledging with accolades, what we put on display

It’s so plain
Like acid rain
Microscopic particles posing as our obstacles

Our love is just a toxic chemical
Our love is just a toxic chemical
Our love is just a toxic chemical
