THE PERFECT MAN - Written by Carroll Bryant
With everything being equal
I work hard for the pay
And I know I’m far from
perfect
But I try a little harder
each day
To do what I think is the
right things
Offering a helping hand
So why can’t I be perfect in
your eyes?
I wanna be the perfect man
I know I make my fair share
Of mistakes I can’t undo
The biggest one is yet to
come
At first I thought it was you
But lately there has just
been
So many things that I can’t
understand
So why can’t I be perfect in
your eyes?
I wanna be the perfect man
A perfect world we know can
never be
A perfect day hides behind
the rain
A perfect time is always too
late
A perfect girl is just a bit
insane
A perfect life still ends in
true death
A perfect kiss bites the lip
of love
A perfect smile becomes from
bad breath
A perfect mind simply can’t
be touched
With everything being equal
I can’t find the words to say
That I feel so inundated
With the way you are today
I try to be all the rights
things
To anyone with me in their
plans
So why can’t I be perfect in
your eyes?
I wanna be the perfect man
So if I can’t be perfect in
your eyes
Then I’ll never be the
perfect man
