Silence Of The Heart

SILENCE OF THE HEART - Written by Carroll Bryant

We came a long, long way
So why this sudden intimate breaking up point of time?
There's nothing left to say
So cry a tidal river sea
There's nothing left of you and me

Silence of the heart
Where did it go, what we felt inside?
Do we know why it's died?
Now we play the part
Of two fools who tried their best
Both of whom failed the test and watched it slipped away
There is no tomorrow
Only today

We came a long, long way

I guess we tried to talk
But frustrations gravity was weighing heavy on you and me
I guess we tried to think it through
But our minds were playing dead
Our hungry souls were never fed

Silence of the heart
Can it change? Don't bet on it
We gave up, had to quit
And now we play the part
Of two fools who walked away
Turned the corner, refused to stay
There is no tomorrow
Only today

We came a long, long way

Tried and true
You lost me and I lost you
Time too slow
We came and went
And watched each other come and go - Away

And it's tearing me apart

Silence of the heart
Where did it go, what we felt inside?
Do we know why it's died?
Now we play the part
Of two fools who tried their best
Both of whom failed the test and watched it slipped away
There is no tomorrow
Only today

There is only today

We came a long, long way - To say goodbye
