Divine Madness

DIVINE MADNESS - Written by Carroll Bryant

Immortality is knocking on my door
I wish to let it in, but not before
Not before the time that is mine
To die
And come back to tell the facts about the day
After I died

When faces looked upon me as I laid there in my rest
Their tears will fall in sorrow as my smile will be its best
I watch them as they gather at my final resting place
Their blindness of the world beyond is written on their face

All I want is for them to be happy
For my death is my only true peace
There is no need to weep for I am no longer suffering
I will finally be free

(I shall return)

They will have their questions and struggle with confusion
Need it be their trouble for the end of my illusion?
For it's my Divine madness to pull the perfect trick
To reappear and make it clear I'm absolutely sick

(I shall return)

I hope you'll understand that I'm not really dead
I'm watching you and all you do unless I'm out of my head

(I won't spend forever in my bed)

For it's my Divine madness to act out my final show
Now you see it, now you don't
I will come back after I go

All I want is for them to be happy
For my death is my only true peace
There is no need to weep for I am no longer suffering
I will finally be free

(I shall return)
