Honey Tattoo

HONEY TATTOO - Written by Carroll Bryant

They wear the mark of you know who
And it looks like they're going to hell
But that's the price of the honey tattoo
And you better know it well

Do they envy you and me?
Maybe they envy
Which way to believe?
They don't have to envy you and me

They crossed the line and into the dark
And it sounds like they're in pain
But the honey tattoo is a dangerous mark
You will be consumed by the flame

Do they envy you and me?
Maybe they envy
Which way to believe?
They don't have to envy you and me

I can't save them
They can only save themselves
I can't make them listen
They have to decide for themselves

They don't have to even believe
They will surely perish
Think about what could be achieved
Love that you can cherish

Well, they made a move to win or lose
And it looks like they are dead
They embraced the honey tattoo
I wouldn't want to sleep in their bed

Do they envy you and me?
(Deep inside)
Maybe they envy
Which way to believe?
(Deep inside)
They don't have to envy you and me
