Solitude

SOLITUDE - Written by Carroll Bryant

I need my isolation
I need my time of peace
I need to heal frustrations
That won't heal when I sleep

I need to speak to Jesus after dealing with all the sin
I need to think with reason when reason is wearing thin

Solitude
Carry me, angels, into the sky
Solitude
Show me the world I'll go to when I die
The pain that I feel is something I cannot conceal
When you're doubted by a world that tortures every word
And pretends that it never even heard them at all
I need solitude

I'm tired of convictions
Handed down my way
By Satan's politicians
Who swing the swords that slay

They're killing off the pilots who navigate god's planes
They live by superstitions with reasons that sound so lame

Solitude
Carry me, angels, into the sky
Solitude
Show me the world I'll go to when I die
The pain that I feel is something I cannot conceal
When you're doubted by a world that tortures every word
And pretends that it never even heard them at all
I need solitude

Give me solitude

I need my isolation
I need my time of peace
I need to heal frustrations
That won't heal when I sleep

I need to speak to Jesus after dealing with all the sin
I need to think with reason when reason is wearing thin

Solitude
Carry me, angels, into the sky
Solitude
Show me the world I'll go to when I die
The pain that I feel is something I cannot conceal
When you're doubted by a world that tortures every word
And pretends that it never even heard them at all
I need solitude

Give me solitude
