JAYNE AND THE LONELY BOY - Written by Carroll Bryant
Just another Friday night out in the heat
Jayne was a working girl working her street
Then she saw him
That old lonely boy
She waddled up and saw his money in hand
It didn't take a genius to understand
And the game
Was sharing some lonely joy
And they made each other feel all right
Even if it was for just one night
It was Jayne, and the lonely boy
It was Jayne, (Jayne, Jayne, Jayne)
And the lonely boy
They got a room just a block away
A rookie cop was looking for some action that day
He saw Jayne
And the lonely boy
He figured that he would be so wise
Out to bust a couple of losers that night
I'm talking Jayne
And the lonely boy
And they made each other feel all right
Even if it was for just one night
It was Jayne, and the lonely boy
It was Jayne, (Jayne, Jayne, Jayne)
And the lonely boy
And then so he waited until they were done
Then he busted down the door as he pulled out his gun
He saw Jayne
And the lonely boy
He couldn't believe what he saw was true
He looked into her eyes and he mumbled, "It's you?"
It was Jayne
And the lonely boy
Nobody's sure what happened from there
Tagged murder of two and suicidal nightmare
Of Jayne
And the lonely boy
The papers said that a cop killed his wife
He killed a strange boy and then he took his own life
Goodbye Jayne
Goodbye lonely boy
And they made each other feel all right
Even if it was for just one night
It was Jayne, and the lonely boy
It was Jayne, (Jayne, Jayne, Jayne)
And the lonely boy
And the game was sharing some lonely joy
