Lap Of Luxury

LAP OF LUXURY - Written by Carroll Bryant

Life is a revolving door
I forgot what my life was for
Too many want control
Adrenaline rises to the power

This garbage that they like to feed
To all the people who are in need
They’ll make the sacrifice of freedom
If you can only make the fear go away

Living in the lap of luxury
I can’t believe that things could be so bad
Is Oz a fantasy?
When will they finally get mad?

They tell you what you want to hear
Have you heard it all before one time?
Too many turn their heads
They are already bought and sold

Their words are nuclear waste
Our time keeps tick, tick, ticking all away
They’ll force themselves on you
Because they have nothing better to do

Living in the lap of luxury
I live and breathe all the things so sad
Is love a faded thing?
When will they finally get mad?

Have you had enough of misery?
How long to survive like this?
Why haven’t we already figured out
What it’s about?
Or do we simply not care?

Thoughts exploding in the air
Like fireworks
Why does it hurt so much?

Their religion is to make you cry
Their decision is to watch you die
Their contention is that they don’t even know why

You know it’s true inside of you
Nothing but lies

Life is a revolving door
I forgot what my life was for
Too many want control
Adrenaline rises to the power

All that they seek is full control
Of you!

Living in the lap of luxury
I can’t believe that things could be so bad
Is Oz a fantasy?
When will they finally get mad?

Living in the lap of luxury
I live and breathe all the things so sad
Is love a faded thing?
When will they finally get mad?

And you know someday they will get mad
And finally say “I’ve had enough”
But will it be too late?

It’s already too late for me

When will they finally get mad?

They're living in the lap of luxury
