Tumbler

TUMBLER - Written by Carroll Bryant

So who are you?
Caught in a game of give and take
You’re looking for direction
So confused

Here you are
Engaged to all of your delicacies
Full of lame perceptions
A bit aloof

And you wish this world a better way
Still to leave and never stay this time
You still find
That it won’t be the same
Go crazy
I need to remind you
That it will be too late
My lady
Somersault into another life

Take this hand
Follow another dizzy leader
Find refuge in a sacred heart
Call it home

Contemplate
Pick your choice of greedy breeders
You’re a woman with connections
Texting alone

You while your time with bitter ache
Shake too much and never break your style
You still smile
And it won’t be the same
Go crazy
I need to remind you
That it will be too late
My lady
Somersault into another life

So who are you?
Caught in a trivial repositioning
You’re looking for security
Under broken lights

Here you are
Divorced from all your centricities
Acting like you did before
Aging like wine

And you wish this world a better way
Still to leave and never stay this time
You still find
That it won’t be the same
Go crazy
I need to remind you
That it will be too late
My lady
Somersault into another life
